Black stoneware kurinuki yunomi - as used in the Japanese tea ceremony - with ‘sea storm’ glazing, inspired by winters on the coast of North East England where I spent much of my earlier years.
Kurinuki is a traditional Japanese technique of ‘carving out’, much like carving a piece of stone. If you are interested to learn more see my post on the subject, or experience it for yourself at one of my classes in my Walton on Thames studio.
Approx size: dxh 7.5x8.5 cm
Unless otherwise stated, my glazes are all food safe and pieces can be put in the microwave and dishwasher. However I always recommend hand-washing for hand made ceramics. See ‘Care’ for more.
Postage & Shipping: At present I only ship within the UK. Standard Shipping on full priced items is FREE. First Class signed for is a paid for option at checkout. Please click the link for shipping costs. Any excess postage charges will be refunded.
Collection from my Walton-on-Thames studio is FREE.
