Registration is open for the first handbuilding workshops of the year exploring the Japanese technique of Kurinuki (literally ‘hollowing out’).
A great introduction for beginners, Kurinuki also offers challenges to more experienced potters. So it doesn’t matter what level of skill you have - from zero experience upwards - you will make work you can be proud of.
sessions last 21/2 hours
each workshop is for a maximum of 5 adults - over 16’s only
you will make at least TWO complete pieces
I will bisque and glaze fire for you
refreshments and all tools and materials are provided
if you have your own tools, please do feel free to bring them
glazing, both kiln firings and, of course, your finished work, are all included in the fee
collect your finished pieces from the studio when ready
